The most important step.

As a single parent, for me, one of the traps I find myself in is getting stuck or putting off stuff that needs to be done.

Things that make me uncomfortable.

Things that involve conflict.

Things that I really don’t feel like I have the energy or, sometimes, the ability to face.

What I have found is this, the most important step I can take in those situations if to merely shut off the way I feel about the step I need to take, and just take it. Just do it. Get it over with.

The longer we wait the more it looms over us and tends to shape the way we look at everything. It puts us in a defensive posture. It robs us of energy.

Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

I explain in this 2:30 video.

How do you deal with feeling stuck or overwhelmed?

Joy, I am glad it helped! I think we all go through juggling all the stuff single parents deal with.. We all have to be reminded at time to just take the step right in front of us and not try to figure it all out… Thanks for your comment – God Bless!!
